Speaking of tricks, I've learned of something about the non-member member animal thing. I think the trick is to recycle all of your animals except your member animal of choice while you are a member, then get rid of all your gems until you can't buy another animal (less than 1,000 gems). So afterward, just wait until your membership expires and they can't prompt you to get another animal, since you don't have enough gems . . .
